Description
Guru Purnima is a day dedicated to honoring spiritual and academic teachers (Gurus). It falls on the full moon day in the month of Ashadha and is celebrated across Hindu, Buddhist, and Jain traditions. The day is named after Sage Vyasa, the author of the Mahabharata.
Significance
The word Guru means dispeller of darkness. This day celebrates the importance of the guru-disciple relationship in Indian culture. It is believed that Sage Vyasa was born on this day, making it Vyasa Purnima.

गुरु पूर्णिमा आध्यात्मिक और शैक्षिक गुरुओं के सम्मान का दिन है। यह आषाढ़ मास की पूर्णिमा को पड़ता है। इस दिन का नाम महर्षि व्यास के नाम पर व्यास पूर्णिमा भी है।
Significance
गुरु का अर्थ है अंधकार को दूर करने वाला। यह दिन भारतीय संस्कृति में गुरु-शिष्य परंपरा के महत्व का उत्सव है।

गुरुपूर्णिमा आध्यात्मिकशैक्षिकगुरूणां सम्मानस्य दिनम् अस्ति। अयम् व्यासपूर्णिमा इति अपि ज्ञायते।
Significance
गुरुः इत्यस्य अर्थः अन्धकारनिवारकः। अयं दिनं भारतीयसंस्कृतौ गुरुशिष्यपरम्परायाः महत्त्वम् उत्सवयति।
Description
குரு பூர்ணிமா ஆன்மீக மற்றும் கல்வி குருக்களை கௌரவிக்கும் நாள். இது வியாச பூர்ணிமா என்றும் அழைக்கப்படுகிறது.
Significance
குரு என்றால் இருளை நீக்குபவர். இந்நாள் இந்திய கலாச்சாரத்தில் குரு-சீடர் உறவின் முக்கியத்துவத்தை கொண்டாடுகிறது.
