Description
Ambaji Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, located at the border of Gujarat and Rajasthan in the Aravalli mountain range. Dedicated to Amba Mata, it is believed that the heart of Goddess Sati fell here.
History
The temple has ancient origins. It is an important pilgrimage during Navratri, attracting millions of devotees. The Bhadra Purnima fair is the largest annual gathering.
Architecture
The main temple has no idol — the main object of worship is a Viso Yantra (sacred geometric diagram). The temple has a white marble facade and is surrounded by the Gabbar Hill with a separate hilltop shrine.
Legends & Stories
The heart of Goddess Sati fell at this spot when Vishnu dismembered her body. The Viso Yantra in the temple is considered the original sacred symbol installed by the gods.
How to Reach
Nearest airport is Ahmedabad (180 km). Nearest railway station is Abu Road (20 km). Regular buses from Ahmedabad, Mount Abu, and Udaipur.

मुख्य मंदिर में मूर्ति नहीं — विसो यंत्र पूज्य है। श्वेत संगमरमर का मुखौटा। गब्बर पहाड़ी पर अलग मंदिर।

सती का हृदय यहाँ गिरा था। विसो यंत्र देवताओं द्वारा स्थापित मूल पवित्र प्रतीक माना जाता है।
