Description
Dwarkadhish Temple, also known as Jagat Mandir, is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Krishna, located in Dwarka, Gujarat. It is one of the Char Dham pilgrimage sites and believed to be built over Krishna's legendary kingdom.
History
The original temple is believed to have been built by Krishna's grandson Vajranabha. The current structure dates to the 15th-16th century and has been expanded over time by various rulers.
Architecture
The five-storey temple is built in limestone and stands on 72 pillars. The Jagat Mandir with its elaborately carved spire rises about 50 meters and bears the Dwarkadhish flag.
Legends & Stories
Dwarka was the legendary kingdom of Lord Krishna after he left Mathura. The city is believed to have submerged in the sea after Krishna departed from earth.

Nearest airport is Jamnagar (137 km). Dwarka has its own railway station. Road connectivity from Ahmedabad (463 km) and Rajkot (225 km).
