Description
Harsiddhi Temple is one of the 51 Shakti Peethas, located in the sacred city of Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh. Close to the Mahakaleshwar Jyotirlinga, it is one of the most important Shakti temples in Central India.
History
The temple has ancient origins. King Vikramaditya is said to have been a devotee of Harsiddhi. The city of Ujjain is one of the seven Moksha-puris in Hinduism.
Architecture
The temple features two tall pillars adorned with lamps that are lit during Navratri, creating a spectacular sight. The idol of Goddess Annapurna is flanked by Mahalakshmi and Mahasaraswati.
Festivals & Celebrations
Navratri is the grandest celebration when the two lamp pillars are fully illuminated. The Ujjain Simhastha Kumbh Mela also sees large crowds.
Legends & Stories
The elbow of Goddess Sati fell at this location. Harsiddhi means "the accomplisher of joy." The Bhairava is Mangal.

Nearest airport is Indore (55 km). Ujjain has its own railway station (Ujjain Junction, 2 km). Regular buses from Indore and Bhopal.

नवरात्रि सबसे भव्य, दो दीप स्तंभ पूर्ण प्रज्वलित। सिंहस्थ कुंभ में भी भीड़।

பண்டைய கோயில். விக்ரமாதித்யர் பக்தராக இருந்தார். உஜ்ஜையின் ஏழு மோக்ஷபுரிகளில் ஒன்று.
